On Thumbtack, Demerson describes himself as a professional in wood flooring with 10 years of experience, and the listing is marked background checked. In 2025, a floor that was tired and worn was left looking like new, and that review says the pro took pride in his work. In 2023, a cracked, stained and extremely scuffed hardwood floor in an old home was repaired, sanded and re-finished rather than removed. In 2021, they were able to come the next day and cleaned up so there was minimal mess. A separate 2021 review says they restored hardwood floors, provided multiple stains to pick from and even offered custom mixes. In 2020, Demerson refinished wood floors in a rental and came back to put on another coat of finish when one more was wanted. In 2019, D.S. installed more antique refurbished wood flooring in an old loft after a carpet area was removed, and the job took a day and a half. **Strengths:** - Floor restoration — 2023 cracked old-home floor repaired rather than removed - Stain choices — 2021 job offered multiple stains and custom mixes - Follow-up coat — 2020 return visit to add another coat of finish ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Demerson describes himself as a wood flooring professional with 10 years of experience _(confidence: medium)_ - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ma/framingham/subfloor-repair-contractors/ds-wood-floors-inc/service/370811791691816990) — “About (Thumbtack, self-described): hi my name is Demerson I am an excellent professional in wood flooring with 10 years of experience now ea…” - Marked background checked on Thumbtack _(confidence: medium)_ - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ma/framingham/subfloor-repair-contractors/ds-wood-floors-inc/service/370811791691816990) — “Listed certification: Background checked” - Repaired, sanded and re-finished a cracked, stained hardwood floor in an old home in 2023 _(confidence: medium)_ - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ma/framingham/subfloor-repair-contractors/ds-wood-floors-inc/service/370811791691816990) — “5★ Was very impressed with the professionalism, work quality and value for my project.
