That customer said he arrived when promised and cleaned up every day. David Messer Home Improvement is based in Pittsfield, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The written customer accounts run from 2022 through 2024. In an April 2023 Google review, a customer living out of state described hiring David after a long-term tenant moved out. The work included new carpet, painting, plumbing-fixture updates and repairs throughout the unit. The customer said David purchased and installed the fixtures and finishes, then returned for a separate tub-surround replacement. The customer praised both the initial work and the added scope. Smaller repairs also featured in those older accounts. An April 2022 Google reviewer said a radiator burst and leaked on the day they bought their house; they praised Dave for responding quickly to the winter emergency and fixing the problem. Another customer, writing that month, described three replacement basement windows and new side steps, praising the finished work, punctuality and price. In an April 2023 BuildZoom review, a customer said Dave took over a project with several pieces, some already started, and finished at the estimated price after just over a week. The company advertises free estimates and says it is insured. BuildZoom lists construction supervisor licence CS-119521, which the company's website also names. The registry-verified active home improvement registration is 208326. **Strengths:** - Daily cleanup — praised in a March 2024 review - Estimate accuracy — April 2023 customer reported finishing at the quoted price - Free estimates — advertised by the company ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 208326 is active. _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 208326 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: David Messer Home Improvement, LLC” - A March 2024 customer praised promised arrival times and daily cleanup during floor, stair, grout and bathroom-painting work. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://maps.google.com/?cid=5106899645868230593&g_mp=CiVnb29nbGUubWFwcy5wbGFjZXMudjEuUGxhY2VzLkdldFBsYWNlEAIYBCAA) — “5★ Dave just finished installing a new kitchen floor (love it!) and new attic stairs.
