Its website says it takes on projects in Connecticut, Westchester County and NYC. A ctpost.com article says Deane Inc. has been featuring integrated banquettes for new kitchens. One customer said designer Veronica Campbell worked with them on a kitchen remodel and that Deane coordinated with their contractor on the job. A couple worked with Ingrid Becker on a living room bar addition, from the idea through the installation. One customer gave one star because they did not have some of the furniture designs the customer wanted. A 2026 customer said a kitchen addition with refrigeration, a built-in coffee maker and cabinetry came in on time and on budget, that Deane coordinated the electrician and plumber, and that a piece of cabinetry scratched during installation was fixed without the customer having to ask. A 2026 customer said this was their second kitchen with Deane, 23 years apart and in different homes. A 2026 customer said Veronica and Gina worked with them on new living room built-ins. A 2025 customer said Buffy designed their primary bathroom remodel and primary bedroom built-ins, including a long run of shelves and drawers flanked by slanted ceilings; that customer also said hiccups with the finish they chose for the bathroom vanities and cabinet towers left them without two cabinet doors for 6 months. A 2025 customer said a total kitchen renovation guided by designer Ingrid Becker was finished on schedule and on budget. A 2025 customer wrote that Deane renovated and installed a new kitchen in a house about 4 hours from its offices in Connecticut. In a 2020 Houzz review, a customer who decided to take down the wall between the kitchen and dining room said designer Gianna Santoro blended a new island and cabinetry with existing reclaimed chestnut cabinets. A 2014 Houzz customer said they had used Deane for four projects over ten years, all complete kitchen redos. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0531682, as active, held by Deane Inc. **Strengths:** - Coordinated trades — a 2026 customer said Deane coordinated the electrician and plumber - Return kitchen client — a 2026 customer came back 23 years later - Bar addition — designed and installed with Ingrid Becker **Concerns:** - Missing cabinet doors — a 2025 customer was without two doors for 6 months - Furniture designs — a customer did not find some designs they wanted ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company's Houzz profile says it was founded in 1961 and runs showrooms in Stamford and New Canaan, Connecticut _(confidence: high)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/kitchen-and-bath-remodelers/deane-inc-distinctive-design-and-cabinetry-pfvwus-pf~1635917031) — “About (Houzz profile, the business's own statement): DEANE, Inc was founded in 1961 by Raymond Girard in Pound Ridge, NY.
