## The honest read

DeRosier Storage Co., Inc. offers moving and storage, and its website describes it as an agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving. The company says it has been in business 41 years and lists Fairfield, Westport, Wilton, Monroe, New Canaan, Norwalk and Darien as its service area. It holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau and a 4.3-star Google rating from 24 ratings.

One recent customer described a three-day move: on day one the team packed whatever the customer had not finished, on day two they disassembled everything in the house and loaded the furniture and boxes, and on day three they delivered to the new location. Allen took part in that customer's virtual walkthrough for the estimate.

A customer said the movers had to do more packing than planned and did it quickly, and that the final cost came in less than the estimate. A customer who has moved more than 14 times said Keith's estimate was spot on and that Anthony and Jeff were helpful.

A 2026 customer who first used another moving company said DeRosier came the next day and helped move pieces the other company was "unable" to move, and called the price affordable and fair.

In a 2024 review, a customer described a two-part move: Allen walked through the house by FaceTime for the estimate, the movers put down covering to protect the floors and stairs, and the belongings were stored in the company's Stratford warehouse. That 2024 customer said the price for both moves and storage was better than competitors.

A 2023 customer said it was their fourth move with DeRosier in nine years and that Alan and his son Keith made everything easy. A 2022 customer called the company very expensive and sloppy.

**Strengths:**
- Three-day full move — a customer described packing, loading and delivery over three days
- Cost under estimate — a customer said the final cost was less than estimated
- Floor protection — a 2024 customer said movers covered the floors and stairs
- Storage between moves — a 2024 customer stored belongings in the Stratford warehouse

**Concerns:**
- Price and care — a 2022 customer called the company very expensive and sloppy
