--- title: "Design Build Boston" description: "Design Build Boston takes a renovation from the drawing to the finished room. BuildZoom's profile for the Charlestown company names Arick Dyrdal as its own" doc_version: "2026-09-21" last_updated: "2026-09-21" --- # Design Build Boston **Trade:** General Contractor / Remodeling · **Languages:** English, Spanish **Rating: 2.8/5** (low confidence) — from 1 reviews across 6 sources. ## The honest read Design Build Boston takes a renovation from the drawing to the finished room. BuildZoom's profile for the Charlestown company names Arick Dyrdal as its owner and lists kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions and whole-house renovations; the permits it shows from the past year are bathroom renovations and a porch replacement. Its written customer history is dated. The one account comes from a 2018 Angi review, where a customer called the company's visions innovative, said they were pleased with the work and mentioned hearing plenty of comments about it afterwards. The platform scores sit at 5.0 from two ratings on Angi and 5.0 from two on HomeAdvisor. On credentials: BuildZoom lists Home Improvement Contractor licence #202757 for the company, a number worth checking yourself against the Massachusetts register. Its Better Business Bureau page carries an A+ letter grade, though the business is not accredited there, and BuildZoom gives it a BZ Score of 96, which it places in the top 20% of Massachusetts contractors. The profiles disagree about the basics, and that is the thing to sort out on the first call. BBB puts the company at 529 Main Street in Charlestown, in business ten years, with one employee listed. Angi and HomeAdvisor both put it at 1698 North Shore Road in Revere, eleven years of experience since 2015, with Spanish spoken and free estimates. BuildZoom says over four years. For a homeowner who wants design and construction under one roof for a kitchen or a bath, this is that kind of shop. Before signing, ask to see the bathroom jobs behind last year's permits, confirm licence #202757 with the state, and get the start date, the office you are actually dealing with, and who will be on site every day in writing. **Strengths:** - Bathroom renovations — permits on file from the past year - BBB grade — an A+ letter grade on its profile - Design-led remodeling — a 2018 Angi reviewer praised innovative visions - BuildZoom score — 96, its top 20% of Massachusetts contractors **Where sources disagree:** - Address and age differ by source: BBB lists 529 Main Street, Charlestown and ten years in business; Angi and HomeAdvisor list 1698 North Shore Road, Revere and eleven years since 2015; BuildZoom says over four years. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Kitchen and bathroom remodels, home additions and whole-house renovations _(confidence: high)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/design-build-boston-construction-llc) — “Services offered (BuildZoom): kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, home additions, whole-house renovations” - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/design-build-boston-construction-llc) — “BuildZoom profile for Design Build Boston Construction, LLC at 529 Main Street Power House Bldg, Charlestown, MA (owner Arick Dyrdal) — BZ S…” - BuildZoom shows permits from the past year for bathroom renovations and a porch replacement _(confidence: medium)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/design-build-boston-construction-llc) — “BuildZoom profile for Design Build Boston Construction, LLC at 529 Main Street Power House Bldg, Charlestown, MA (owner Arick Dyrdal) — BZ S…” - In a 2018 Angi review, a customer called the company's visions innovative and said they were pleased with the work _(confidence: medium)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/beachmont/design-build-boston-reviews-35551850.htm) — “5★ They have very innovative visions and I am very pleased with the work!
