The company says it has been in business 23 years. It holds 4.9 stars from 33 Google ratings and 5.0 from 5 ratings on Houzz. A recent customer who just had a kitchen remodeled said Kyle designed the cabinet layout and made suggestions they had not considered, which led to full overlay Cabico cabinets from the Essence line. That customer praised the cabinet quality and the service from Kyle and the owner, Ed. A recent customer who had worked with Hammond first, and had trouble with communication there, said the cost at Design's was significantly lower than Hammond's for the same products; that customer's kitchen got Mantra cabinets in mineral and a Drama marble countertop, with Beachwood cabinets in the bathrooms. A 2025 customer said Kyle White worked with them from the beginning stages of a total kitchen remodel until the final installation of cupboards and a sink. When that 2025 customer ran into issues with the cupboards after installation, they said Kyle visited the worksite immediately and called in his vendor rep. A 2018 Houzz customer building a new house said Ed met them at his showroom after-hours because of their work schedule, sent detailed drawings of the kitchen, and added touches such as a sliding hidden trashcan, molded trim and open shelves. That 2018 customer said all deadlines were met. A 2018 customer who brought Ed a kitchen layout from a larger local design company said his changes reshaped the kitchen's functionality and look, and that when a cabinet door was damaged in shipping, Ed ordered a replacement and dropped the new door off. A 2014 customer said the company did a bathroom floor in their cottage and then a countertop and flooring in the rest of the cottage. **Strengths:** - Cabinet layout design — a recent customer said Kyle suggested options they had not considered - Lower cost than Hammond — a recent customer said the same products cost significantly less - A post-install fix — a 2025 customer said Kyle came to the worksite immediately - An after-hours showroom meeting — a 2018 customer said Ed met after hours ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Describes itself as a locally owned kitchen and bath design center in Windham, Maine, and an authorized Mid Continent Cabinetry dealer _(confidence: medium)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/kitchen-and-bath-designers/designs-kitchen-and-bath-pfvwus-pf~1098959027) — “About (Houzz profile, the business's own statement): *Authorized Mid Continent Cabinetry Dealer* Welcome to Designs Kitchen and Bath Center,…” - Says it has been in business 23 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.designskitchenandbath.com) — “Self-reported 23 years in business” - 4.9 stars from 33 Google ratings and 5.0 from 5 Houzz ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Design's%20Kitchen%20%26%20Bath%20Center&query_place_id=ChIJP6Jq97aPskwRU9KYXLrt86U) — “Google: 4.9★ from 33 ratings” - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/kitchen-and-bath-designers/designs-kitchen-and-bath-pfvwus-pf~1098959027) — “Houzz: 5.0★ from 5 ratings” - A recent customer said Kyle designed the cabinet layout and suggested options they had not considered _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT20wNVJtSm1RVXN5Y2pFM1ZIcE1jMkp1TW5RemFXYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xa5f3edba5c98d253!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOm05RmJmQUsycjE3VHpMc2JuMnQzaWc%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ I just finished having my kitchen remodeled.
