## The honest read

DiamondKote fixes and coats concrete: pool decks, garage floors, basement floors and front steps. Its Houzz profile says it is a division of AMT Enterprises, LLC based in Middletown, CT, working since 1999.

A recent customer said the company removed cracked concrete near rusted rebar, then patched, bonded, coated and sealed heavily pitted front steps, left the site clean and emailed care instructions. A recent customer had an entire basement floor acid stained and said it came out exactly as imagined.

A 2025 customer said DiamondKote resurfaced their 30-year-old pool deck for the second time in 5 years, with everything done in one day. A 2025 reviewer wrote that their stamped cement was ground down and refinished in 2015, and that 10 years later Mike and his crew returned to repair cracks and repaint the pool deck light grey. A 2024 customer said the pool deck job took longer than they expected and that all their uneven areas were leveled.

A 2023 customer said Mike and his team ground a garage floor, filled holes and applied an epoxy coating and chip system in one day. A 2024 reviewer who said they own North Cove Construction in Old Saybrook wrote that Mike has installed epoxy floors for them for over ten years.

A 2021 customer wrote that Mike yelled at them for asking too many questions, and quoted an email from him calling their job very small and not profitable and saying he was no longer interested.

**Strengths:**
- Pool deck resurfacing — a 2025 customer said the job was done in one day
- Front step repair — a recent customer said care instructions were emailed afterward
- Garage floor epoxy — a 2023 customer said grinding through coating took one day

**Concerns:**
- A small-job dispute — a 2021 customer said Mike called their job not profitable
