Dickinson and Son customers describe successful plumbing repairs alongside complaints about callbacks, missed appointments and billing. In September 2025, a homeowner said Garrett diagnosed and quickly fixed a backyard faucet that would not shut off completely, after an appointment scheduled for the following week. Another February 2025 reviewer praised repeated prompt responses and successful plumbing repairs.

The Hanover company reports 53 years in business. Its BBB profile lists HVAC contracting, air exchange and boilers for new and existing systems, and gives it an A+ grade. Google lists a 4.2-star average from 35 ratings.

A January 2025 customer praised the individual plumbers but described an appointment missed after they had arranged a town water shutdown. They also said a bill came in 50% above a plumber's quote despite attempts to reconfirm the price. According to that reviewer, the owner eventually called and told them to pay or stop calling; they took their business elsewhere. A December 2025 reviewer likewise complained about unreturned calls and a missed appointment.

An April 2022 customer reported that owner Rick broke a shower-faucet handle while repairing a leak.
