## The honest read

A crane lifting seven trees out of a yard in a single day is the job a 2026 Google reviewer described when Rayzors Edge and Distinctive Tree Care came to the house to remove 7 trees and brush. That customer said the workers were on time and respectful.

Distinctive Tree Care of South Windsor has been pictured on local news pages from ctinsider.com and patch.com, with workers clearing limbs and surveying trees for removal. In a 2022 r/connecticut thread, a commenter said the company has the entire state contract because of its equipment and also does a ton of residential work.

A 2025 customer with an uprooted tree said the company came within a day to give an estimate, then praised the pricing for taking 2 trees down. A different 2025 Google reviewer called the work fast, neat and affordable. A 2023 reviewer in Meriden praised the three workers who came out.

A 2024 reviewer complained that they couldn't take down a small birch tree. A 2020 Reddit commenter listed the company among tree services to call but said it might be a little pricey. In 2023, one reviewer complained about its drivers holding up traffic on route 87.

**Strengths:**
- Crane tree removal — a 2026 customer said 7 trees came down in a day
- A quick estimate — a 2025 customer said they came within a day

**Concerns:**
- A missed birch removal — a 2024 reviewer said they couldn't take it down
- Possible higher pricing — a 2020 Reddit commenter said it might be pricey

- **1/5 · Google Reviews · JennX · 2023-01-18**: These guys are the absolute worst drivers on the road out of all the tree services. They pull out in front of you and then drive 20 miles below the speed limit. They hold up traffic everyday on route 87. I drive all over Connecticut they are the absolute worst.
