## The honest read

DMD Electrical Services LLC does residential electrical work and solar maintenance, and its website says it offers 24/7 emergency response for Connecticut homes. The company says it has been in business for 15 years.

A recent Google customer said Dave Doty contacted them as a third-party contractor to install a replacement solar inverter they had been waiting months for; Dave came within hours and had it running in two hours. A solar provider contracted Dave from DMD to repair the solar panels on one customer's home, and that customer said he communicated the status, was flexible with scheduling and got the work done right and fast.

On the electrical side, a customer in a pinch with an electrical panel said DMD got the power back on fast. One customer said Dave worked with patience in a difficult old house plaster wall. When another household later had an issue, Dave came out the next day, found a faulty surge protector and did not charge for the troubleshooting. A customer who has used Dave for jobs at all of their houses said he shows up on time and communicates throughout. One customer said everything was wired nice and neat, "even the stuff nobody will ever see."

Its Better Business Bureau page shows an A+ grade and accreditation.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0704684, as active, held by DMD Electrical Services LLC.

**Strengths:**
- Quick inverter swap — a customer said it was running in two hours
- Next-day troubleshooting — found a faulty surge protector, no charge for the visit
- Neat wiring — a customer said even unseen wiring was neat
