## The honest read

DogWatch of Litchfield County installs underground electric dog fences and trains the dogs to them, and it holds 5 stars from 319 ratings on Google. An August 2026 reviewer, a new homeowner with 3 dogs, thanked Rob for coordinating, Doug for installation and Liz for training, and said the online estimate was spot on. The company lists towns across Litchfield County from Barkhamsted and Canaan to New Milford and Norfolk.

The speed is specific. In a June 2026 review, a customer who called the Friday before Labor Day heard from Sue and met her the next day, got an estimate on Sunday, signed the contracts, and had the fence installed Tuesday, with Liz's first lesson that afternoon. An April 2026 customer who had spent over 10 hours trying to fix a Petsafe fence had Douglas out in 2 days; he found a tricky line break and replaced the bad section in an hour. In April 2026, a customer switched from another brand because their dog was losing his hearing and the DogWatch collar vibrates. A May 2026 customer whose excavation cut the wires had the yard rewired to its new size.

The training draws its own praise. A May 2026 customer said Liz was patient with an eight-year-old Black Lab mix and an eight-month-old Golden Retriever. A January 2026 reviewer said their Malinois pup picked up the system by the second training visit, and noted that the batteries are shipped automatically.

**Strengths:**
- Fast installs — June 2026 estimate Sunday, fence in by Tuesday
- Repairs on other brands — 2026 line break found and fixed in an hour
- Dog training included — Liz trains each dog to the boundaries
