## The honest read

Done Right Home Improvements is a handyman business based in North Easton, MA. On Thumbtack it describes itself as offering painting, drywall repair and flooring, and it is listed there as background checked.

A 2026 Thumbtack review says a bathroom renovation was completed with professionalism and timeliness, and calls the pricing highly competitive.

In a 2024 Google review, a customer in Plainfield, CT wrote that Johnny and Shawn painted several full rooms and added crown molding and wainscoting to the kitchen. The same 2024 review said they also took care of an emergent plumbing situation and made sure the work area was cleaned up each day before leaving. Another 2024 review said Johnny and his team were on time and met all deadlines.

In a 2023 review, a customer said John and his crew came out last minute to help fix a leakage issue. A 2022 review said they fixed a leaky roof and cleaned everything thoroughly, and a separate 2022 review said Johnny was honest about what needed to be done and gave a fair price.

One 2022 Google review describes a roofing job that went badly: the customer wrote that Johnny promised to strip the old shingles and replace rotten and damaged roof with 3/4 plywood, but only layered shingle on old rotted shingle. That customer also said no contract was given as promised and that the charge was $6,000.00.

**Strengths:**
- Bathroom renovation — completed with professionalism and timeliness, per a 2026 review
- Painting and trim — rooms painted, crown molding and wainscoting added in 2024
- Daily cleanup — work area cleaned each day before leaving, in 2024
- Roof leak fix — leaky roof fixed and cleaned up thoroughly in 2022

**Concerns:**
- Roof layover — a 2022 review says shingles went over rotted shingles
- Written contract — a 2022 review says none was given as promised
