## The honest read

An October 2026 customer had started painting their own house exterior and called Double Diamond Painting to finish it — "It wasn't the easiest job to come into halfway through," they wrote, with some areas done, some needing another coat and some still unprepped, and Brian "worked through everything" with them. The Branford, CT painter has 5 stars from 62 Google ratings, and Brian, named as the owner in reviews from 2022 and 2026 (one gives his name as Brian Schaller), is the person customers write about.

Exteriors and decks are a large share of the work. Six reviews describe deck jobs; in a September 2026 review, a customer said Brian sanded a test patch of their 8-year-old deck and brought six stain colors to consider before the crew pressure washed, sanded and stained it. An April 2026 review describes a full exterior and deck project on cedar siding, praising a detailed proposal that was "competitively priced relative to others," and thorough sanding during prep. A July 2026 reviewer said Brian came back several times to fix an odd problem left by a railing taken down on aluminum siding.

Inside, a September 2026 customer said the crew painted walls and ceilings left in poor shape after wallpaper, along with the kitchen cabinets. An August 2026 reviewer who lives across the country said Brian sent pictures and worked with their tenant on timing. A June 2026 review from a retired construction manager said the project finished on time at the quoted cost.

HomeAdvisor and Angi each show 5.0 stars from 13 ratings. The company's Connecticut home improvement registration, HIC.0660375, is active. Its site says it is insured and offers free estimates.

**Strengths:**
- Deck staining — six reviews describe deck work
- Detailed proposals — a 2026 review praises a clear, competitive quote
- Quoted cost held — a 2026 review says finished on time and budget
- Remote owners — a 2026 review describes photos and tenant scheduling
