## The honest read

Double S Powerwashing describes itself on its website as a power washing business for homes, businesses, roofs, gutters and driveways, based in Clinton, CT. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 34 ratings, and Angi shows 5.0 stars from 23.

A recent Angi customer with an older Cape roof that was almost solid green with moss said they cleaned off all loose debris, then treated the entire roof to clean and kill off the moss. That customer said Steve gave a very fair price, described exactly what they would do and when, and that the invoice came by text and email. A recent Angi customer said they did the roofs and also soft washed the house, and that the house looked as if it was painted. A recent Google customer said Shane discussed the job in advance and quoted a fair price for power washing a deck, including the patio furniture, and left everything tidy.

A 2025 Google customer with a Cape said the house had not been power washed in at least 25 years, and that they took special care with the aluminum siding and completed the job in approximately 1 1/2 hours. A 2025 Google customer said Shane and his partner kept them informed, that the pricing was explained and agreed upon beforehand, and that they were very careful around the plants.

**Strengths:**
- Roof moss treatment — a recent customer said the roof was treated to kill moss
- A fair quote — a recent customer said Shane quoted a fair price for a deck
- Care with siding — a 2025 customer said they took special care with aluminum siding
- Careful around plants — a 2025 customer said they were very careful around the plants
