## The honest read

Dryer vents that were never up to code are the recurring job for Dryer Vent Squad of Shrewsbury, a franchise whose site says it is a locally operated business in Worcester serving towns from Framingham and Hopkinton to Webster and Douglas. Customers name Dan as the scheduler and Mike as the technician.

In an October 2026 Google review, a customer whose dryer threw obstruction codes after an HVAC service made things worse said Dan moved appointments around and Mike stayed extra to finish the vent line troubleshooting and replacement in the same visit. A May 2026 Google customer said Kevin found their vent system was not to code and replaced it in less than 2 hours. A September 2026 Google customer had a 35 ft dryer vent line replaced according to the code at a fair price. In a September 2026 Google review, a customer who opted out of the recommended work said Michael gave a breakdown of charges and did not charge for the consult. A September 2026 customer said the company offers a 5 year warranty on all parts and labor.

A September 2025 Google reviewer said the company illegally dumped on their property, that corporate yelled and hung up, and that a police report was filed. A June 2026 Google customer said the technician was quite late.

**Strengths:**
- Code fixes — a May 2026 customer got a new code-compliant vent in under 2 hours
- Same-visit repairs — an October 2026 technician stayed extra to finish
- Free consult — a September 2026 customer was not charged after declining work

**Concerns:**
- Dumping complaint — a September 2025 customer filed a police report
- Late arrival — a June 2026 customer said the technician was quite late
