## The honest read

Dubois Plastering Plus does plaster and drywall work, and its HomeAdvisor and Angi listings name drywall repair and plaster repair.

A 2021 customer said Clifton skim coated their kitchen and living room in 2 days and made a potentially messy job easy to clean up. In a 2021 review, a customer wrote that Clif skim coated an entire kitchen, dining room and two hallway ceilings in two days and was communicative throughout. A 2021 reviewer, a real estate agent working with a seller getting ready for market, said Clifton came right away and did the job for a very reasonable price. A 2021 customer wrote that they had been quoted 5x more for a lower quality product.

A 2021 customer whose kitchen remodel was held up for 2 weeks said the patch on a water-damaged half-swirl ceiling did not blend in, old compound fell off when they went to paint, and Clifton twice said he would come and never showed up. That 2021 customer also said Clifton asked for cash and gave no written quote or written invoice.

In a 2022 review, a customer who hired him to repair drywall in their bathroom said he failed to smooth it out or finish the paint job and asked for more cash to paint over the repair. A 2021 Google reviewer wrote: "6 months later and still has not come back to finished the job".

**Strengths:**
- Two-day skim coat — a 2021 customer said kitchen and living room took 2 days
- A reasonable price — a 2021 real estate agent called it very reasonable

**Concerns:**
- Ceiling patch — a 2021 customer said it did not blend in
- Nothing in writing — a 2021 customer got no written quote or invoice
- Unfinished bathroom repair — a 2022 customer said the paint job was not finished
