## The honest read

Dunton Energy Services lists heating services on its website, including gas and oil boilers and furnaces, heat pump installation, furnace maintenance and repair, and oil tank installation and removal. It offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service and reports 7 years in business. Its MA hvac licence 24009934-SM-B is active on the state registry.

One customer says Dunton's team installed their heat pump, replacing a 22 year old system, and cleaned up after themselves. Another says Josh's crew installed mini splits AC units after Josh came out the next day with a quote. A customer says Joshua helped them finish a central air system that another contractor left partially complete. Another says Dunton recommended and installed a new oil-fired furnace and oil tank.

One customer says Dunton did a comprehensive leak check, found and repaired the leak, and added refrigerant. Another says Josh showed up on time and fixed their central A/C on a scorching hot day. A customer says Dunton diagnosed and fixed their fireplace problem in about an hour. Another says Dunton was meticulous with their hot water tank install.

In a 2026 review, a customer said Dunton replaced a very old boiler and water heater and plumbed their basement renovation for heat. In a 2025 review, a customer said Josh planned a mini-split system to replace their baseboard heat and guided them in applying for Mass Save rebates. In a 2024 review, a customer said the team installed 4 indoor AC splits with 2 outdoor units in their 1780 home and vacuumed and picked up after the job.

**Strengths:**
- Heat pump installs — a 22 year old system replaced, site cleaned up
- Unfinished jobs — completed a central air system another contractor left
- Leak repair — leak found, repaired and rechecked before adding refrigerant
