## The honest read

A homeowner who hired E.W. Cole Home Improvements for vinyl siding said Earl told them the house would be a 6-8 week project; they started mid-February and finished up about April 20th. That customer wrote that Earl and Rachel would show up at 7:30 and start in 28 degrees, and called Earl "meticulous."

A second recent job covered the roof of the garage and house plus new siding on the house. That customer said Earl talked them through color and material choices without trying to upsell, and worked out how to get the materials delivered when the town's roads were posted. His crew finished the roof in one day and the siding in two days, cleaned up the nails and debris, and brought a portapotty so they didn't track through the house. Earl did a walkthrough before the invoice, and the couple of things the customer asked about were done immediately.

A 2025 customer said Earl and his team put a new roof on the home in one day, and that Earl met with them twice to make decisions and explain the process.

The company's website calls it a roofing and siding contractor where the owner answers the phone and meets with you for the inspection, and it says it has been in business 20 years. On Google it holds 5 stars from 12 ratings, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+.

An epa.gov page lists "Earl W. Cole d/b/a E.W. Cole Home Improvements (ME)" under Expedited Settlement Agreements.

**Strengths:**
- One-day roof — a recent customer said the crew finished the roof in one day
- Clean job site — a recent customer said nails and debris were cleaned up
- Final walkthrough — items a recent customer raised were done immediately
- Stated siding timeline — told 6-8 weeks, finished about April 20th

**Concerns:**
- EPA settlement listing — an epa.gov page lists it under Expedited Settlement Agreements
