## The honest read

E2 Solar designs and installs rooftop photovoltaic systems from 12 American Way in South Dennis, and it is one of the few Cape Cod solar companies with a paper trail long enough to judge — the company says it was established in early 2008 and has installed over 3,000 kilowatts of PV since. Jason Stoots is listed as principal, and the company describes itself as locally owned and staffed by locals.

It is properly licensed for the work. Massachusetts registry checks confirm an active electrician licence, number 447, and an active Home Improvement Contractor registration, number 192571, both held in the company's own name.

What customers describe, over and over, is a sales process that does not push. A 2024 reviewer said the salesman answered every question and did not try to oversell; another said they were "Not pushy like a lot of installers around here"; and in one 2024 account the company actively counselled a household not to buy yet, because at the electricity rates of the time the payback did not make sense, then called back a year later when the numbers had changed.

The estimates hold up. Reviewers in 2024 reported systems that exceeded predicted first-year output, one 10 kW array generating more than forecast, and another owner quoting the company's own line back at them: under-promise and over-produce. One caution: in 2023 a homeowner who already owned a SunPower system called for warranty service and was told they fell outside E2's service area, which they found disappointing given how few authorised dealers exist. They are a strong choice for Cape Cod and southeastern Massachusetts rooftop solar, battery storage and panel removal-and-reinstall around roofing work.
