East Coast Mechanical is a Cheshire, Connecticut heating and cooling company with 4.8 stars from 288 ratings on Google, and much of what customers write about is mini-split and heat pump work. Its BBB grade is A+, and the company says it has been in business 32 years.

The furnace emergencies come up in winter 2026. In a March 2026 Google review, a customer whose furnace quit with nighttime temperatures well below zero said salesman Dave Crispino came the next morning and a new furnace was in two days later by lunchtime. A February 2026 customer wrote that East Coast was the only one of 5 companies called on a cold Saturday to respond quickly, and Cole explained and fixed the problem. In August 2026, after a 37-year-old central air unit died in a heat spell, the company lent the customer two window air conditioners while waiting to install a Trane system.

The heat pump installs are described in detail. In July 2026, Andy fixed Mitsubishi mini splits left with multiple issues by another contractor's installation and found the leak quickly. A February 2023 customer converting a 100-year-old home wrote that the -7 weather that followed did not stop the new Mitsubishi cold climate heat pumps from producing warm air. A January 2023 reviewer said electric bills went down 42% in August after a whole-house ductless install. On Reddit, a commenter in January 2025 called a boiler replacement very reasonable with 0% financing for two years, and another in July 2026 said they paid about $9,500 for an oil boiler replacement in 2024.

The complaints are few and specific. A November 2025 customer wrote that the company checked their system in August after the CO detectors went off and found nothing, and a later alarm turned out to be a deteriorated seal and a leaking heat exchanger, leaving them without heat or hot water while waiting for a part. In 2017 and 2018, Angi reviewers reported an unsealed vent, weeks of waiting for a permit number, and unreturned calls.

In a 2022 r/connecticut thread, a commenter said East Coast Mechanical was lower than the other quote they got and did a good job.
