## The honest read

East Coast Pool & Spa is a swimming pool store in Sanford. The company says it sells, installs, repairs and services in-ground and above-ground pools and hot tubs for homes and businesses in Maine and New Hampshire, and that it has been in business for 21 years.

On Google it holds 4.6 stars from 65 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. A recent customer who has used the business for about twenty years said Amy, Jessica and their mom, Joann, know their stuff. That customer has an above-ground pool's water tested there weekly and gets a detailed analysis of where the water sits within the ideal ranges and which chemicals to add, with how much and when. The same customer said Amy opened the box of a new pump bought from the store, began the assembly and drew diagrams to finish it at home, and that they drive an hour round trip to keep coming.

A recent customer said they fixed the customer's filter with no charge for labor, and had replaced their liner earlier with results the customer was very happy with. A recent customer who gets pool water tested there periodically said they recommend what is needed, and that the pool has been great for years thanks to them.

**Strengths:**
- Detailed water testing — a recent customer gets weekly analysis and chemical instructions
- Filter repair — a recent customer said there was no charge for labor
- Liner replacement — a recent customer was very happy with the results
- Pump assembly help — a recent customer said Amy began the assembly and drew diagrams
