Its website lists service towns from Berlin and Cheshire to West Hartford and Windham. A recent customer said technicians Terado Hyatt and Royland Sterling caulked around doors and installed metal weatherproofing components on a 1950s Cape. A 2025 reviewer wrote that Ryan Dumas and his team cut air leakage in the home by 20%, and that Ryan came the same day to adjust a door seal that had become too tight. A 2026 customer said Jaden and Dontel insulated the walls through the exterior and the basement ceiling and were careful not to break the exterior shakes. A 2023 customer described a 14.2kW solar installation that came in under several other quotes. A 2025 reviewer said EcoSmart installed solar panels in 2018 that produce 100% of that customer's electric usage 11 months a year. A recent customer said the follow-up insulation visit left insulation dust everywhere, obstructed the attic hatchway and came with an up-charge after the work was done. A 2025 customer said a solar project of over $30,000, due to be operational by July 2025, still had not paid toward the electric bill by September. A 2026 customer said they approved an insulation quote the same day and then were ghosted. **Strengths:** - Door air sealing — a recent customer said doors were caulked and weatherproofed - A 14.2kW solar install — a 2023 customer said it beat several quotes - Same-day seal fix — a 2025 reviewer said Ryan adjusted a tight door seal **Concerns:** - Insulation follow-up visit — a recent customer reported dust and a blocked attic hatchway - Delayed solar project — a 2025 customer said it was not running by September - An unanswered quote — a 2026 customer approved a quote and heard nothing back ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A local news listing places the company in East Berlin _(confidence: medium)_ - [Local News](https://ctbythenumbers.news/ctnews/projects-partners-homeowners-and-stakeholders-earn-recognition-from-connecticut-green-bank) — “ctbythenumbers.news — EcoSmart Home Services (East Berlin)” - Website lists 14 service-area towns, including Berlin, Cheshire and West Hartford _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://www.ecosmartct.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Berlin, Cheshire, Cromwell, East Hartford, Farmington, Glastonbury, Manchester, Middletown, Newington, …” - A recent customer said technicians caulked around doors and installed metal weatherproofing on a 1950s Cape _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tVNVdrTk5TVEpMWTJsVmIxcHpTekZKVVdRMmFsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xe1efd0d980571a4c!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkU5WkNNSTJLY2lVb1pzSzFJUWQ2alE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I had an outstanding experience with EcoSmart Home Services overall, largely due to my technicians, Terado Hyatt and Royland Sterling.
