## The honest read

Store traps and sprays had not touched a yellow jacket problem in two areas of a Newtown house; in a September 2026 Google review, the customer wrote that Effective Pest Management came out the next day and the yellow jackets were gone after one treatment. The Bethel company's website says it has been in business 35 years and names a service area running from Bethel and Danbury to Ridgefield, Wilton, Norwalk and New Milford.

Chris is the name on the calls. A June 2026 customer with a severe carpenter ant problem said he came that afternoon, with no ants since, and praised the absence of pushy contracts. A February 2026 review says his treatment took care of a mice problem over the winter. In July 2025, a customer wrote that he handled a large hornet nest quickly and safely, and an August 2025 Google reviewer described calling on a Friday around 3PM and having him arrive at 2 PM Saturday as promised for a yellow jacket nest. A July 2024 review credits immediate help with a white-faced hornet nest over a garage.

Some customers go back years: an April 2025 reviewer has used Chris and his company at home and at a business for about 15 years, and a December 2023 customer has used him since moving to Bethel in 2009. A December 2023 review says he follows up to make sure one treatment resolved a wasp problem.

Google shows 5★ from 33 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. The company's website offers free estimates, says it is insured and lists Registration: #19218.

Its Connecticut pesticide applicator licence, PMBR.02288, is active.

**Strengths:**
- Next-day visits — 2026 reviews cite next-day and same-afternoon service
- Stinging insects — yellow jacket and hornet nests handled in 2024–2026
- Repeat customers — reviewers cite 15 years and since 2009
