## The honest read

ELCO Painting holds 4.8 stars from 154 Google ratings. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 190130, is active on the state registry. The company says it has been in business 46 years, and its own website lists industrial work such as roof coatings, epoxy floors and sandblasting.

A recent Google customer says the crew did the prep, the paint job turned out well, and everything was left tidy at the end of each day. A 2026 customer wrote that ELCO painted their kitchen, foyer and hallway, and said the crew was meticulous with prep work. A 2026 reviewer praised painting on cabinet doors and drawers. A 2026 customer said the painter Corey did the job and everything came out nice.

In a 2020 review, a homeowner described a project of several weeks that included resurfacing floors, patching and painting walls, staining ceiling tiles and waterproofing the full exterior. A 2020 customer wrote that an exterior repaint was done by a large crew that stayed quiet and cleaned up after work. A 2020 reviewer said ELCO cost a bit more than quotes from smaller outfits, but felt the quality and the shorter time frame made it worthwhile. A 2022 customer said Jay's crew cleaned up every day.

An undated review on the Better Business Bureau, where it is graded A+, criticizes its prep work.
