A 2016 customer said Reggie and his crew built a new house for them in 2014 and a deep energy renovation of an 1850 farmhouse in 2013. That 2016 customer added that the post move-in blower door test on the new house yielded the lowest reading the energy auditor had ever seen. A 2016 customer who designed a renovation said Emerald Builders performed structural repairs and addressed insulation and air sealing issues in an old home, then turned a worn-out kitchen and bath into bright, new spaces. A 2016 customer described a kitchen renovation in a house built in 1962: existing cabinets removed, a new 6' window, existing barn boards worked in with new drywall, and a new cabinetry layout, counter-top, island and sink. A 2016 customer said Emerald Builders built their father a small, super-insulated house. A 2016 customer said Reggie and his team helped restore an old barn at what they were convinced was a fair price, and that Reggie always cleaned up after himself. A 2016 customer said the job was finished on time and on budget. A countertop fabricator wrote in 2016 that it had worked with Emerald Builders on projects throughout Maine. A 2020 customer wrote that someone building a structure that is not conventional stick-built needs a builder who listens, has the skills to deliver and can navigate the relationship, and that Emerald does. **Strengths:** - Low blower-door reading — a 2016 customer said the auditor had never seen lower - A kitchen renovation — a 2016 customer described a new island and cabinet layout - An old barn restored — a 2016 customer said Reggie always cleaned up after himself - On time, on budget — a 2016 customer said the job finished that way ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Houzz shows 5.0 stars from 10 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/emerald-builders-llc-pfvwus-pf~437871958) — “Houzz: 5.0★ from 10 ratings” - Describes itself on Houzz as a Maine green building construction company that builds custom energy efficient and net zero homes and remodels _(confidence: medium)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/emerald-builders-llc-pfvwus-pf~437871958) — “About (Houzz profile, the business's own statement): Emerald Builders is a Maine green building construction company that builds custom ener…” - A 2016 customer said Reggie and his crew built a new house for them in 2014 and a deep energy renovation of an 1850 farmhouse in 2013 _(confidence: high)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/emerald-builders-llc-pfvwus-pf~437871958) — “5★ Reggie and his crew built a new house for us in 2014 and a deep energy renovation of an 1850 farmhouse in 2013.
