Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #188884, is active on the state registry. By the company's own account this is a family business: Dave works alongside his sons Andy and Graham, both project managers and partners, out of Framingham. The work they describe is the full residential range — additions, kitchen and bath renovations, decks, flooring and historical restorations — and their Houzz profile, which shows eight projects, extends that to basements, porches, garages and new construction. BuildZoom lists two Massachusetts construction supervisor licences, CS-044604 and CS-107567; Houzz lists CS-107567 as well. For an addition or a full kitchen or bath in a MetroWest house — an older one especially, given the historical restoration work they say they take on — this is a firm with the registration and the permit history behind it. Ask which of the three Emslies will run your job day to day, ask for addresses of recent projects you can drive past, and get the scope, the allowances and the schedule in writing before you sign. **Strengths:** - Active state registration — home improvement registration verified on the Massachusetts registry - Deep permit history — 48 permitted projects counted on BuildZoom - Family firm since 1986 — founder now works with two sons - Broad remodeling range — additions, kitchens, baths, decks, historical restorations ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. -
