The company's own site lists property scans, tank removal and abandonment, soil and groundwater sampling and remediation, compliance testing, emergency spill response and vacuum truck services, and it says it has been in business 50 years. A 2024 customer said a three-person team pumped out residual oil, cut a basement tank in three parts, brought it out through the garage and cleaned up after the job. A 2025 customer with a 25-year-old contaminated tank bed said the company found the tank's location, quoted a fair price, scheduled quickly and came in below the quoted estimate. A 2023 customer said the crew maneuvered digging equipment so it would not have to drive across the lawn and sidewalk. A 2025 realtor said Liz Olavarria looked up information about an oil tank at one of her listings on a Connecticut environmental site before any services were commissioned. A 2023 customer said Richard was quick to obtain an old oil tank removal report from Enviroshield's archives on short notice. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0703100, as active, held by ENVIROSHIELD. **Strengths:** - A 30-day tank removal — a recent customer said it was done before listing - Under the estimate — a 2025 customer said the job came in below quote - A careful dig — a 2023 customer said equipment avoided the lawn and sidewalk ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Its site lists tank removal and abandonment, soil and groundwater sampling and remediation, compliance testing, emergency spill response and vacuum truck services _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](http://www.enviroshield.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): OUR SERVICESPROPERTY SCANS TANK REMOVAL AND ABANDONMENTSOIL & GROUNDWATER SAMPLING/REMEDIATIONCOMPLIANCE TE…” - Says it has been in business 50 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.enviroshield.com) — “Self-reported 50 years in business” - 4.9 stars from 58 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Enviroshield&query_place_id=ChIJSbkBAq4N6IkRiF7xzxTeAU8) — “Google: 4.9★ from 58 ratings” - A recent customer said a 1,000 gallon oil tank was removed in about 30 days from the first call _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tGbGNVdzNiR3AxTjFCNkxVUkJlVUZrTURGR1NuYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x4f01de14cff15e88!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkFlcUw3bGp1N1B6LURBeUFkMDFGSnc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ It's nice to work with people who understand the potential catastrophe every old oil tank that is buried in the ground presents.
