## The honest read

ER Tree Service holds a 5-star average across 167 Google ratings. On its website the company says it provides tree care to residents of Maine, and on its Better Business Bureau page it lists tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding and emergency tree services.

A recent Google customer said the ER team removed a large damaged pine tree in a challenging location. A returning customer named Emerson and his crew and wrote that he is fast, responsive and affordable, and that his crew is clean and efficient. A recent reviewer said the company's rates are reasonable. A recent customer said the work was done exactly as promised and that they would hire the company again.

The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade and lists it as accredited.

**Strengths:**
- Large pine removal — a recent customer said a damaged pine was removed
- Repeat customer — a recent reviewer said Emerson is fast, responsive and affordable
- Reasonable rates — a recent Google reviewer called the rates reasonable
- Work as promised — a recent customer said the job matched what was promised

**Where sources disagree:**
- The company's HomeAdvisor profile describes it as serving Albany, Troy and the surrounding areas, while its own website describes tree care for residents of Maine.
