## The honest read

Escape Plumbing & Heating holds 5 stars from 319 Google ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. The company says it has been in business 30 years and lists a service area running from Morris and Litchfield to Watertown, Woodbury and New Milford. Its website names water heaters, tankless water heaters, gas lines, sump pumps, well pumps and water conditioners among its plumbing services.

A recent customer wrote that Eric the owner came out, walked them through what was wrong and gave the available options with straight talk and no selling. Brad came out for a yearly inspection at one recent customer's home, found a problem with the water pump, which apparently was never shutting off, and replaced it the very next morning. That customer also said the company texts when it is on the way and gives up-front quotes. For a first-time customer, Eric and Ephrem replaced and installed a refrigerator water line and took the time to inspect the full system before making recommendations. A recent customer said Eric and his team repaired a leaky sillcock, added a new sillcock the customer had wanted, and came in under budget.

One recent job started with toilets not flushing properly and bubbling in the basement toilet. That customer said Eric phoned later that day with the work needed and a quote, Eric and his team came the next day and began working, and "the clean up was like they were never here." A recent customer described a prompt response to a basement sump pump failure and an accurate estimate.

A 2026 customer wrote that a leaky kitchen drain was rebuilt and a faucet combo replaced in an upstairs bath, for the amount quoted. In a 2022 review, a customer said three sinks were almost overflowing because the main pipes were sagging from broken supports, and that Eric came out and diagnosed and resolved it within an hour. A 2022 customer waited a week for a garbage disposal visit and said Eric offered several options, from Bandaid to Platinum level, with every price clearly defined.

A 2024 customer called the company overpriced, saying it wanted $439 to change two water valves under the sink and wasted time trying to repair a bathroom faucet when a new one was needed.

Connecticut lists its P1 plumbing licence, PLM.0281791-P1, as active, held by Escape Plumbing & Heating LLC.
