## The honest read

Evergreen Property Care's website describes bathroom remodels, kitchen renovations, decks, flooring, doors and windows for property owners across Killington, Rutland, Woodstock and surrounding Vermont communities. A recent Google reviewer said Chris and his team completed a deck project that stabilized a 60+ ft long front deck railing and re-used existing materials to decrease cost.

A 2025 customer said the company did three projects that fall: painting and staining the entire outside of the house and replacing pieces of trim, replacing a large wood deck with a Trex deck including railings and stairs, and replacing a large bay window with a picture window with casement windows on each side. In that 2025 review, the customer said estimates were accurate and reasonable.

A recent customer said they did a privacy fence. A recent reviewer wrote about a door installation and named Chris and Adam as the workers. A 2026 customer said Chris fixed their back door, and that the guys explained everything they were doing to the door before they did it.

A 2024 customer in Ludlow said that after flooding left mold in the basement, Chris and his team replaced the sump pump, put up new drywall, cleaned out the mold and fixed the carpet. A 2025 customer said the company repaired a water-damaged room, replacing sheetrock, skim coating and painting.

A 2025 reviewer who bought a house sight unseen said two men showed up 12 hours after the evening call, and four hours later the entire house was gutted. In an edit to that 2025 review, the customer said the company handled an ice dam on the porch roof on a weekend while they were out of town. A 2024 customer who needed gutter covers replaced said Chris replied within a couple of hours, came by that evening with a quote and set a date less than a week out. A 2024 customer said Chris's mowing crew came out sooner when needed. A 2023 customer said they showed up on time, fixed a leaky window and cleaned up afterward.

A 2026 Reddit commenter recommended the company, saying it does great work. It holds a 5-star Google rating from 16 ratings.

A 2025 customer who needed two cartridges installed for Moen shower controls thought the cost of the job was much higher than it should be. Its Vermont residential contractor registration, number 174.0000535, is expired on the state registry.

**Strengths:**
- Deck railing repair — a recent customer said existing materials were re-used to cut cost
- Fast house gut-out — a 2025 customer said two men arrived 12 hours after calling
- Flooded basement repair — a 2024 customer said mold was cleaned and drywall replaced
- Estimate accuracy — a 2025 customer called the estimates accurate and reasonable

**Concerns:**
- Shower cartridge cost — a 2025 customer felt the job cost much too much
