Their website lists kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, drywall, painting, decks, flooring, tile, and complete home construction, and says the company is licensed and insured. BBB lists an A+ grade and accreditation, while the available Google record is small at two ratings. A November 2022 review raised serious concerns about a home sale, unfinished work, structural cracks, nonfunctioning appliances, and a shower-pipe leak; that account was secondhand rather than from the reviewer’s own hiring experience. Before booking, confirm the exact scope, permits, inspection responsibilities, insurance, and warranty terms in writing. They may suit homeowners seeking broad remodeling or construction work in the Hillsborough, Claremont, and Dublin area, with careful due diligence on project quality and completion standards. **Strengths:** - Broad remodeling — website lists kitchens, baths, additions, and whole homes - Local operation — David and Ericka identify themselves as operators - BBB standing — A+ grade and accreditation listed **Concerns:** - Project quality — one secondhand review alleged defects and unfinished work - Small review history — Google record has two ratings - Completion terms — confirm inspections, warranty, and punch-list process ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company says David and Ericka started EWDL Home Improvements in 2015. _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://www.ewdlhomeimprovements.com) — “Company history (self-reported): David and Ericka started EWDL Home Improvements in 2015.” - The website says the company is licensed and insured. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.ewdlhomeimprovements.com) — “EWDL Home Improvements presents itself as a licensed and insured Hillsborough contractor offering remodeling, additions, drywall, painting, …” - Google shows 3 stars from 2 ratings. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=EWDL%20Home%20Improvements%2C%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJAQBkOTom4okR8Q54Tjqt6T0) — “Google: 3★ from 2 ratings” - A November 2022 review described alleged unfinished and defective work in a home sale. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUQtOU51VGhBRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x3de9ad3a4e780ef1!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgID-9NuThAE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “1★ I know someone who recently purchased a home from this business that has been a total nightmare for them.
