Last 6 months: 4 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read A tree came down on a house around 9pm on July 4th, breaking a skylight and holing the roof, with 1.5 inches of rain on the way; in a July 2026 Google review, the homeowner wrote that Sal was there within an hour of returning the call on a long-weekend Sunday, and by 5pm the skylight was covered, wet insulation replaced and new shingles down. Neither leaked that night. Fairfield Roofing is a Bridgeport roofer with 4.9★ from 63 Google ratings, and its website lists 24/7 emergency service. Fast leak calls are what customers write about. After the July 21, 2026 storm, a reviewer who manages multiple properties said Sal answered the phone himself, arrived at 9:00 the next morning, and over six hours his crew reframed a section of roof, removed a problem gutter configuration and installed copper flashing, proposing a repair rather than a new roof. A January 2025 customer who called on new years day had Sal there the next morning, and a December 2022 reviewer said he drove over on a Saturday and did not charge his usual emergency price because the fix was easy. A February 2023 review says he fixed several small leaks in a 1937 copper roof on the spot. Replacements come up too: in an August 2024 review, Sal found multiple leaks within two hours of the call, and the crew replaced the roof within a week; a November 2024 customer had roof, gutters and flashing replaced. A July 2018 Angi reviewer wrote that a new worker who knew nothing about roofs left the roof leaking worse than ever. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.6★ from 30 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0644455, is active. **Strengths:** - Storm response — 2026 reviews describe same-day and next-morning repairs - Repair over replace — 2026 customer got a repair instead of a new roof - Copper roofs — 2023 review: leaks fixed in a 1937 copper roof **Concerns:** - Worker training — 2018 review says a new worker left the roof leaking ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Covered a tree-broken skylight and patched the roof the same Sunday ahead of a storm, per a July 2026 review _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT210d1dWZDZZVUZTTkhSWWQweFlNMGRyUTBaQlozYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xdc46dcd9bbfdca9c!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmtwWVd6YUFSNHRYd0xYM0drQ0ZBZ3c%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Sal is amazing.
