## The honest read

Fine Home Contracting is a design-build remodeler hired for kitchens, bathrooms and additions. The company describes its work as "a fully integrated design-build experience from concept through construction." CBS News has quoted its founder, David Perotti, a Connecticut-based builder. Google lists 5 stars from 47 ratings.

A recent customer credited the company with their home addition in Watertown, CT, and said its design-build team communicated clearly. A 2025 customer said the company combined two small bathrooms into one with a laundry area and built a new primary en-suite from the ground up. That 2025 customer wrote that Dave helped scale the project back to something more realistic in scope and budget. A 2025 reviewer wrote that the company added 625 square feet to a West Hartford house, including a new bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet.

A 2024 customer said FHC renovated their home after an exploded pipe in the attic, when the hardwood floors and the kitchen had to be replaced and the whole house painted. A 2022 customer wrote that the company handled a major kitchen remodel for them. When some cabinet side panels came in a slightly different shade, that 2022 customer said Kris had already told Aric and replacements were ordered before they noticed.

A 2023 customer wrote that the company may not be the cheapest option and called the results worth the price. A 2025 Thumbtack reviewer said the owner was very rude and did not communicate well.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0635418, as active, held by Fine Home Contracting LLC.
