Last 6 months: 3 reviews, 2 negative. ## The honest read Finley Construction's customers describe projects that change how a house is used: an attic turned into bedrooms, a kitchen opened up by removing a wall, and an addition built for a family member. The company says it has nine years in business and serves Keene, Swanzey, Chesterfield and other area towns with one remodeling team. It advertises free estimates and says it is insured. A May 2026 customer described Finley building a staircase, two bedrooms and a hallway in an attic, adding about 600 square feet of living space. The homeowner praised the crew's attentiveness and the finished result. In June 2024, another customer credited Paul and his crew with renovating an early-2000s kitchen, removing a wall and replacing a rotten deck that had been improperly installed. That customer said the work met a short timeline. A separate June 2024 review described cedar siding, sill work and new doors and windows on an old farmhouse; those homeowners said Finley handled changes to the mudroom design, finished on time and stayed within the original estimate. Communication earned detailed praise in a March 2026 review about an addition to the customer's daughter's house. The customer described regular progress reports, quick answers to questions and prompt attention to problems. They said Finley finished the addition the day before their mother died, fulfilling a promise to provide a home they could move into. Two 2026 complaints describe different experiences. A September customer said exterior access steps were left half finished despite repeated attempts to get the work completed, and complained that concerns were ignored. A May reviewer described seeking a bathroom-remodel and window-replacement quote in February, receiving only a bathroom price in March, and still lacking the window quote and itemized bathroom breakdown in May. Google shows a 4.6-star average from 20 ratings. **Strengths:** - Attic conversions — a May 2026 customer praised two bedrooms and a staircase - Project updates — a March 2026 addition customer praised progress reports - Farmhouse renovation — June 2024 customers praised siding work within the estimate **Concerns:** - Unfinished steps — a September 2026 customer reported half-finished work and ignored concerns - Estimate delays — a May 2026 reviewer described missing prices after months ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company says it has nine years in business and serves Keene and surrounding towns. _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://finleyconstruction.us) — “Self-reported 9 years in business” - [Official Website](https://finleyconstruction.us) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Keene, Swanzey, Chesterfield, Walpole, Hinsdale, Brattleboro, Bedford, Springfield, Peterborough, Westm…” - The company advertises free estimates and says it is insured. _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://finleyconstruction.us) — “Stated offer (self-reported): free estimates” - [Official Website](https://finleyconstruction.us) — “Stated offer (self-reported): insured” - A May 2026 customer described an attic conversion with two bedrooms, a staircase and a hallway, adding about 600 square feet. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tkNmNVUmtSMXBCZFRkTGIxWXlUR3hCVVZKeFdFRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xa53e4644483cd229!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkd6cURkR1pBdTdLb1YyTGxBUVJxWEE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ My wife and I decided to build 2 new bedrooms in our attic.
