## The honest read

First Response Labor says it is owned and operated by a lifelong Vermonter and has served Franklin and Chittenden Counties for more than 10 years.

A recent Google customer said Matt came right away and checked on the issue several times throughout a two-week ordeal. That customer said the problem was ultimately resolved due in large part to his efforts, and that the cost was very reasonable.

A 2025 customer named Buddy and Steve and described tiles, paint jobs, a new shower and carpeting at their place. A 2026 customer called Zach and his team methodical, swift, respectful and clean.

The work is not only inside the house. A 2024 customer said the company provided commercial snow removal for them that season. A 2024 customer thanked Zachary Deso-Walker and Matt Swann for a last-minute, after-hours call: they got the customer's vehicle towed to them and fixed even though they did not have a tow truck yet.

In a January 2022 r/burlington thread, a commenter said First Response Labor out of St Albans is good.

Vermont lists its home improvement contractor registration, 174.0000034, as active, held by First Response Labor LLC.

**Strengths:**
- A quick response — a recent customer said Matt came right away
- Reasonable cost — a recent customer called the cost very reasonable
- Interior repair work — a 2025 customer described tiles, paint, a shower and carpeting
