## The honest read

John from Flash Roofing LLC helped one customer with a roof, the home insurance paid for it, and that customer paid $1,000 out of pocket. The company holds 4.9 stars from 81 Google ratings, 4.9 from 23 ratings each on HomeAdvisor and Angi, and 4.9 from 20 on Thumbtack, and its BBB grade is A+.

The company says it has been in business 11 years, lists York, Waterbury and Prospect as its service area, and names roof repair, roof replacement and siding installation on its site.

A customer said John Aguaiza guided them through storm damage from a recent hailstorm, arranged the repairs and helped with the insurance company, saving thousands in out-of-pocket expense. John did the roof on one customer's shed, who said he was on time, charged a fair price and cleaned up afterward. A customer looking for a Spanish speaker found Franki, who guided them and handled the paperwork to replace the roof. One customer said Luis came out after another contractor had done their mom wrong, showed them many issues and installed their gutters. A customer who worked with Luis wrote in Spanish about a roof and siding job in Bridgeport paid for by the home insurance.

A 2025 customer said Franky, the sales associate, traveled 40 miles out of his way to get the correct flashing ring for a 14" metal chimney pipe. That 2025 customer also said the crew completed the entire roof replacement in a single day. A 2025 customer said the company handled extra plywood repairs and installed new gutters for the same price other companies quoted for the roof alone. A 2025 customer with a wind-damage leak said the new roof went on the house and detached garage in one day, and they came back the next day to finish the bay window. A 2026 Thumbtack customer said they removed ice from the gutters by hand and shoveled snow off the roof. A 2023 Angi customer called Flash Roofing a small family business from Bridgeport and said they made sure the flashing around a 1940s chimney and a flat roof dormer would not leak.

A 2026 Thumbtack customer who was happy with the roof work said they charged top dollar and could have done a better job cleaning up. A 2025 customer said Diego was supposed to come over for an estimate several times and never did. A 2025 reviewer wrote: "They just changed the name. They got the job and some one else do it for them."

**Strengths:**
- Insurance claim help — John guided storm and wind claims with home insurers
- A one-day roof replacement — a 2025 customer's whole roof done in a day
- Chimney flashing ring — a 2025 customer said Franky drove 40 miles for it
- A shed roof — John was on time and charged a fair price

**Concerns:**
- Price and cleanup — a 2026 customer said they charged top dollar
- A missed estimate — a 2025 customer said Diego never came over
- Who does the work — a 2025 reviewer said someone else did the job
