## The honest read

After a flood gutted their kitchen, a 2025 customer in Chester needed plumbing work spread over five separate sessions, and wrote that Ben Forst got each phase done on exactly the date and time needed, from meeting the carpenters on a Tuesday at 1 to disconnecting the temporary sink at 6 the next night. That 2025 customer later sent their daughter and her husband to Ben when the couple bought a home in Chester.

Forst Plumbing & Heating describes itself as offering plumbing and heating installation and service. A 2026 customer said Forst came immediately for a serious drainage issue from the kitchen sinks, replaced part of the piping, and designed the replacement so it is accessible at multiple points. A 2025 customer said Ben responded quickly to a basement leak and diagnosed it, and Jake came out first thing in the morning to replace their well pressure tank. A 2025 customer said Ben arrived promptly, diagnosed and fixed a sink problem, and called his pricing very fair. A 2024 customer said Ben installed a new sump pump quickly after the basement flooded. A 2023 customer said Ben had every part needed in the truck and left the bathroom clean.

A recent customer with two small offices says they paid $180 for a small toilet repair, which they found within reason, then were billed another hour at $100 for a check of two toilets about 50 feet away that needed no work. That customer paid a bill of $326.76 and advises getting a firm quote before they do any work.

It holds an active Connecticut P1 plumbing contractor licence, PLM.0290731-P1, under Benjamin J Forst.

**Strengths:**
- Multi-session scheduling — a 2025 customer said each phase landed on the date needed
- Well pressure tank — a 2025 customer said Jake replaced it first thing in the morning
- A sump pump install — a 2024 customer said Ben installed one quickly after flooding
- An accessible drain redesign — a 2026 customer said new piping is reachable at multiple points

**Concerns:**
- Hourly billing — a recent customer was charged an hour to check two toilets
- A firm quote first — a recent customer advises getting one before any work
