Last 6 months: 101 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read Four Seasons Chimney & Roofing in Thomaston carries 4.9 stars from 799 Google ratings, and the company says it has been in business 47 years. The work runs from yearly sweeps and stove service to chimney rebuilds, liners and whole roofs, and the fall 2026 reviews show the routine side at volume. The service calls are specific. An October 2026 customer said the technician checked a pellet stove insert's working parts and tightened the door hinges to stop smoke seeping into the room during ignition. Another October 2026 reviewer said Jay serviced a gas fireplace and a gas fire pit and was patient in diagnosing the issue. A September 2026 customer had gaskets repaired on two Quadra-Fire wood stove doors, one 20 years old and the other 30. In October 2026, a customer said Tony and the crew did a chimney repair and liner installation and cleaned up afterward. The bigger jobs come with schedules. A July 2026 customer said Garrett was the only one of three companies to get up on the roof to inspect it, the crew put up tarps, foreman Jerry kept them informed, and the house and shed roofs were done in six hours, at the lowest of the three quotes. A February 2026 reviewer said a new flue liner came with the building permit handled and final costs matching the quote. In a November 2022 review, a customer described Garrett tarping a failed skylight and replacing two custom-made skylights with matching shingles. The one serious complaint is from May 2026. A customer who had liked the sweep service hired the company for chimney restoration and said three stone masons later told them the chimney needed rebuilding because of shoddy work, with water now causing mold in the attic and the company not taking responsibility. Its Connecticut HIC licence, HIC.0611505, is active. The Better Business Bureau rates it A+. **Strengths:** - Stove and insert service — 2026 calls fixed pellet, gas and wood units - Roof jobs — July 2026 house and shed done in six hours - Quote matches bill — February 2026 liner cost what was quoted **Concerns:** - Masonry restoration — May 2026 customer said a repair had to be rebuilt ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Google rating of 4.9 stars from 799 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Four%20Seasons%20Chimney%20%26%20Roofing&query_place_id=ChIJIVxxG0SV54kRUYDiT-1zHzE) — “Google: 4.9★ from 799 ratings” - Connecticut HIC licence HIC.0611505 is active _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0611505 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: FOUR SEASONS CHIMNEY & ROOFING LLC” - Better Business Bureau grade of A+ _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/thomaston/profile/chimney-repair/four-seasons-chimney-roofing-llc-0111-87015906) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - Says it has been in business 47 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://ctfourseasons.com) — “Self-reported 47 years in business” - An October 2026 customer said the technician tightened pellet stove door hinges to stop smoke during ignition _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT201SFZrZG9aRGRmZW5oRFlVaFJkRVZ0TTBkQ05GRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x311f73ed4fe28051!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOm5HVkdoZDdfenhDYUhRdEVtM0dCNFE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ The technician arrived right on time, and listened intently as I described the on and off problems with the pellet stove insert.
