## The honest read

Storm damage and tree strikes bring a lot of homeowners to Fulcrum Contracting, and the name they mention is Bill. The Monroe company does roofing and siding, says it has 20 years in business, and holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0665148, under Fulcrum Contracting LLC. Reviewers call Bill the owner; a 2022 reviewer gave his full name as Bill Luby.

The recent reviews are about repairs after damage. In August 2026, a returning siding customer said a neighbor's tree fell on the house in a July 4th storm; Bill came promptly, offered to be there when the insurance adjuster visited, and handled a full roof replacement, new gutters, a downspout and siding repairs. A July 2026 reviewer said a branch punctured their roof and the repair was done right away. In May 2026, a homeowner said the crew finished a siding job in less than two weeks and cleaned up after.

Older reviews describe how a job runs. In a November 2025 review, a homeowner who got four roof quotes said Bill handled the town permits, the company's web portal showed what to expect, and the crew protected plants and outdoor lighting before tearing off the old roof. A September 2025 customer said their new roof went on in one day. In a November 2025 review, a homeowner whose house was damaged by fire said Bill helped through two months of insurance back-and-forth before the crew replaced the siding, windows and roof. In April 2025, a reviewer described two layers of old siding and crumbling press board removed in under two days and replaced with CertainTeed Cedar Impressions over insulation.

The one serious complaint is about interior work. In a September 2025 1-star Google review, a homeowner who said they paid over $100,000 for a major renovation reported interior stairs falling apart within a month, a sinking kitchen floor they were told they "didn't pay for," walls left unfinished that cost $3,000 to have painters patch, and $10,000 spent to correct the front entry; they wrote that they would report the company to the BBB.

It holds 4.8 stars from 24 Google ratings and 5.0 from 7 each on Angi and HomeAdvisor, with written reviews from 2022 to 2026.

**Strengths:**
- Storm repairs — 2026 reviewers describe fast fixes after tree damage
- Insurance help — reviewers say Bill guided them through claims
- Organized jobs — permits handled and progress shown on a web portal

**Concerns:**
- Interior renovation — a 2025 review reported failing stairs and a sinking floor
- Added costs — same reviewer spent $13,000 fixing walls and entry
