## The honest read

Two water heaters replaced in four hours, including piping work: that is how one customer described G & D and Sons Plumbing and Drain Services in an April 2026 Google review. The customer said Glen responded quickly, discussed a plan and did the work the following Saturday after they took time to decide. The company describes itself on Thumbtack as a family-owned business focused exclusively on residential plumbing, with more than 11 years of hands-on experience.

Other recent customers describe toilet installation and gas-leak repairs. A June 2026 reviewer said their gas had been shut off for safety and Glen worked every day until the repairs were finished, restoring gas for hot water and other uses. The reviewer described at least ten leaks. Another June customer praised the installation of a new toilet and a suggestion that worked out well. A separate customer writing that month said Glenn was straightforward about the repairs and finished when he said he would.

Older accounts describe explanations and follow-up checks during the work. In a March 2026 Thumbtack review, a customer said Glen replaced piping and two valves, then stayed to make sure the pipe leak was fixed. A January 2026 reviewer described same-day help, simple explanations of what needed attention and what could wait, and additional work they accepted without feeling pressured. In an August 2025 review, a kitchen-sink customer said Glen explained the drain problem, offered options and fixed it that day at a price they considered reasonable.

Google shows a 5-star average from 70 ratings, while Thumbtack shows 5.0 from 33. In a December 2025 Thumbtack review, one customer said Glen charged exactly the amount quoted over the phone, then did another job for them at a price they considered fair. A different reviewer writing that month described a response within 15 minutes of an estimate request, work completed 12 hours later and an offered 90-day warranty.

**Strengths:**
- Water heater replacement — April 2026 customer described two heaters replaced in four hours
- Leak repair checks — March 2026 customer said Glen stayed to verify the fix
- Clear repair explanations — January 2026 customer described priorities without pressure for additional work
- Quoted price honored — December 2025 customer said the charge matched the phone quote
