A November 2025 customer said Jeff Gagnon came out, sized a Tempstar heat pump job and was spot on, and named four technicians who did the install. An October 2025 reviewer described a whole-home heating system for a new construction house in New Hampshire, said the crew stayed responsive when the system needed small adjustments, and put their all-electric bill, two years in, at about $600 a month. The Bridgton company describes itself as a full-service heating and air conditioning business focused on moving homes off fossil fuels, says it has been in business 26 years, and advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. It holds a 4.5-star Google average from 55 ratings and an A+ from the Better Business Bureau. Two service calls stand out from 2025. In September, a homeowner in the last days before a home sale closing said the company came out the same day for a radiant floor heat emergency and Peter fixed a complex circulator problem and explained the system. In July, a customer said Pete handled routine heat pump maintenance, diagnosed a unit that had been giving trouble, and charged very reasonable rates. Angi tells a different story, with a 2.3-star average from 3 ratings. In a March 2024 Angi review, a customer said the company had promised to handle the paperwork, the rebate paperwork was not submitted on time, and Jeff offered excuses, including an Efficiency Maine policy change the customer said had happened months before. In an April 2017 Angi review, a customer said a replacement furnace was not set up properly and the house fell to about 40 degrees while they were away. Jeff M. Gagnon holds an active Maine HVAC licence, MS30008534, according to the state licence registry. **Strengths:** - Heat pump installs — 2025 reviews describe sizing and whole-home systems - Same-day emergency — September 2025 radiant heat fix before a closing - Clear diagnosis — July 2025 customer says Pete explained the issues **Concerns:** - Rebate paperwork — March 2024 Angi review says it was filed late - Furnace setup — April 2017 Angi review reports an improper install **Where sources disagree:** - Google shows a 4.5-star average from 55 ratings while Angi shows 2.3 stars from 3 ratings ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Jeff M.
