Last 6 months: 13 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read Roof replacements paid through insurance claims are the job Gega Masonry & Construction's Google customers describe, with Olgert handling the adjusters. The Waterbury, Connecticut company lists a service area from Farmington and West Hartford to Waterbury and Prospect. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration is active. A September 2026 customer said Olgert met with insurance adjusters multiple times and that the crew protected the property and plants and left the job site spotless. An August 2026 reviewer said the insurance company was not easy to work with and that Olgert dealt with the claim from start to finish on a new roof and gutters. A February 2026 customer wrote that the men arrived Dec. 2, removed solar panels and the old roof, and were done by the end of the week. In a January 2025 review, a Terryville customer said the crew replaced a roof after a very bad rain and wind storm. Masonry jobs appear as well: an October 2026 customer had a patio repaired and loose stones fixed, and in a May 2023 Thumbtack review a customer said Olgert built a new patio with pavers. In an October 2024 review, a rental property owner said the company confirmed an appointment, did not show up and never answered calls or texts. A June 2026 customer who had met them at home said they were ghosted on the project. On Google the company holds 5 stars from 34 ratings, and on Thumbtack 4.4 from 26. **Strengths:** - Insurance claims — 2025 and 2026 customers said Olgert handled the adjusters - Clean job sites — 2026 roof customers noted the cleanup - Patio work — paver and stone patio jobs in 2023 and 2026 **Concerns:** - Missed contact — 2024 and 2026 Thumbtack customers say they were ignored ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 2025 and 2026 Google customers said Olgert handled their roof insurance claims _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2pWMk9GRlpaSGRtZDBGcFpVNVZaa1JGZVRObk1YYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x74c05123de130b88!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjV2OFFZZHdmd0FpZU5VZkRFeTNnMXc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I recently had my roof replaced, and I couldn't be happier with the experience.
