The company says it has been in business 73 years. A recent Google customer says several other HVAC companies told them to replace their whole unit, while Giacco found a rusted-out drain pan, ordered a replacement and installed it within a week; that customer credits Jeff and his team. In a 2026 review, a customer said Jeff serviced their boiler the same day and got it running before they had to leave town. A 2024 customer said the owner came out for a furnace cleaning and used instruments to check how cleanly it burned and to measure the draft. A 2023 customer who had just closed on a property in Meriden said that when the first-floor tenant's heat stopped working, the company came the same day, drove to Springfield for parts the next day and had the furnace fixed the next afternoon. A 2022 customer who woke up with no hot water said the company arrived in under two hours, replaced a broken part on the oil tank and cleaned the boiler; that customer said the company had also installed their boiler and water heater, moved an oil tank and put in an outside fill pipe. A 2022 reviewer said their furnace went out at 6 in the morning and was back up at 2 in the afternoon. A 2022 customer wrote that air-conditioning work started in July 2022 left them without A/C all summer, was still not done, had failed inspection, and that three weeks had passed with no response. Its BBB page shows an A+ grade. **Strengths:** - A drain pan fix — a recent customer got a repair, not a new unit - Same-day boiler service — a 2026 customer's boiler ran again before a trip - A careful furnace cleaning — a 2024 customer said the owner measured the draft **Concerns:** - An unfinished A/C job — a 2022 customer said it failed inspection ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company says its technicians repair, service and install gas, oil and electric heating systems in Meriden and the surrounding area _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.giacco-oil.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): Our expert technicians specialize in the repair, service and installation of gas, oil and electric heating …” - The company says it has been in business 73 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.giacco-oil.com) — “Self-reported 73 years in business” - A recent customer said the company found a rusted-out drain pan and installed a replacement within a week after other companies advised a full unit replacement _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2pGalJraENkM3BMUzJSUlptc3dOVWx0ZEZRNWRWRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x2e4378d3f00ad415!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjFjRkhCd3pLS2RRZmswNUltdFQ5dVE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Jeff and his team were excellent!
