Last 6 months: 4 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read An empty gunite pool one morning, and a previous company that could not fit the customer in for months: in a July 2024 Google review, the homeowner wrote that George and his team came the same day, diagnosed the problem and scheduled the repair within 1 week. Gold Coast Pool & Spa is a Norwalk pool company doing weekly service, openings and closings, and full renovations; it holds 4.8★ from 49 Google ratings, and its website names a service area from Greenwich and Stamford to Fairfield, Ridgefield and Monroe. Renovations of old pools fill the longer reviews. A June 2026 customer had the pool replastered with pebbletec, completed in early May, and wrote that there was no hard sell. In a September 2024 review, George planned the restoration of a 30 year old pool that had sat unused for a decade, with the team handling demolition, permitting and opening. A May 2023 review describes a 40ish-year-old Wagner gunite pool renovated a month earlier than expected, with the crew some nights working past 8pm. A July 2023 customer said George re-plumbed a pool from 1945, and a July 2024 reviewer had a liner and pipe system redone and the pool converted from chlorine to saltwater at half the rate other contractors quoted. Service customers stay a long time: a June 2026 reviewer has used the company for over ten years for weekly cleaning, and an August 2022 customer for over 8 years. An August 2022 review describes a dead pump called in on a Thursday and replaced by Saturday. One June 2026 Google reviewer complained of being overcharged for filter cleanings and chemicals, doubted the filter was cleaned, and said the crew talked down other companies. An October 2019 Angi customer found the price a little on the high side but the quality there. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.8★ from 14 ratings. The website offers free estimates. **Strengths:** - Old-pool renovations — 2022–2026 reviews describe pools from 1945 onward rebuilt - Fast repairs — 2024 customer got a same-day visit for an empty pool - Long-term service — reviewers cite over 8 and over ten years **Concerns:** - Service pricing — 2026 review complains of overcharging for filter cleanings ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Came the same day for an empty gunite pool and scheduled the repair within a week, per a July 2024 review _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSURyMDlPcFVREAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x431de6238e942b29!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDr09OpUQ%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Woke up one morning to an empty gunite pool.
