## The honest read

The people vouching for Fernando Graumann are mostly the ones who work beside him: an interior designer, a painting contractor and a kitchen-and-bath supplier, all writing in March 2026. Graumann Builders is his Framingham company, founded in 2018 by its own account on the line "Quality Without Compromise", and led by a builder the site describes as licensed in three states with more than 22 years in construction.

The work runs wide — substantial renovations, custom kitchens and baths, decks and outdoor living, and ground-up homes — with jobs listed on Houzz anywhere from $10,000 to $500,000. The posted projects sketch that range: a Southborough bathroom in the $50,000–$75,000 bracket, kitchens in Belmont and Malden from 2020, a new kitchen and a Sherborn bathroom in 2025, and one new-construction job as far off as Myrtle Beach.

The reviews get specific where it matters. One March 2026 client said Graumann had done several renovations in their home, among them two kitchen remodels — one with semi-custom cabinetry in their primary residence. Another described an office renovation that stayed on schedule, with a team that was easy to communicate with. A reviewer who says he has worked with Fernando since 2005 pointed to a new home build finished the year before, and a fourth, watching the finish work, said he learned from how Fernando works.

Two things to sort out before you sign. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #209328, is active; the construction supervisor licence, CS-118595, is the number BBB and Houzz carry on the profile, so ask to see it. And Houzz shows a "22 years in business" claim against the 3/5/2018 start date in BBB records — that 22 years matches the owner's time in the trade rather than the company's, so be clear which you are hiring.

For a Framingham-area kitchen, bath or ground-up build where the designers and trades on the job matter as much as the crew, this is a credible call. Ask for a homeowner reference from a project finished this year, and, since BBB's profile lists one employee, ask which trades come in as subs on a job your size.

**Strengths:**
- Kitchen remodels — a March 2026 client described two, one with semi-custom cabinetry
- Ground-up builds — custom homes and new construction listed alongside renovations
- Active state registration — Massachusetts HIC #209328 verified active
- A+ BBB grade — accredited Framingham profile
- Schedule held — an office renovation stayed on schedule in March 2026
- Long trade ties — one reviewer has worked with Fernando since 2005

**Concerns:**
- Trade-written praise — an interior designer, painter and supplier posted in March 2026
- Company age — Houzz shows 22 years, BBB a 2018 start

**Where sources disagree:**
- Houzz carries a '22 years in business' claim, while BBB records the business as started 3/5/2018 and the company's own site says it was founded in 2018 by an owner with over 22 years in construction.
- The four HomeAdvisor reviews are all dated March 2026 and labelled 'Google Review', so they are copies of reviews posted elsewhere rather than separate HomeAdvisor accounts.
