Last 6 months: 4 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read A 65-foot-long, 5-foot-tall stone retaining wall with granite monoliths for the base, posts and stairways: that is how a recent customer at a 200-year-old property in Hampton Falls, NH began describing what owner Mark A. and a team of Mick, Travis, Pete and Graham built for them. The same job added a 1,000 square foot reclaimed brick patio, walkway and landing, cobblestone banding along a crushed stone driveway, and two bluestone pathways through new plantings. Green Monster Landscapes describes itself on its website as a design-build company doing custom paver design, stone masonry, retaining walls, landscape plantings and lighting, and it lists a service area that includes Portsmouth, Dover, Durham, Rye and Hampton. On a lake property, a recent customer said Mark and his crew built a stone wall, then completed a lakeside project with sod, blueberry bushes, erosion control mulch and a stone pathway from the patio to a granite stairway. A recent customer whose patio entry had become a tripping hazard said GML rebuilt the entryway and that Mark came out to assess it within days. A recent customer with rock steps down to a dock said the project had to be NHDES and locally permitted with NH native plants, and that the month-long job finished on time and on budget, with the team on site weekdays 8:30 to 4:30 and a clean job site every night. That customer also said the work was not inexpensive. A 2026 customer said the company installed a granite and limestone patio and that the project was priced appropriately for the quality of the work. A 2025 customer said Mark turned over the existing soil, added a second layer of dirt and hydroseeded the front lawns, scheduling around the customer's travel dates. A 2024 customer said the team designed a drainage system for pooling water and that after several rainstorms the water no longer pooled. A 2023 customer described a full granite outdoor kitchen and bar, seat wall, custom fire pit, paver patio and a lower flagstone patio. A 2024 customer called the owner rude and arrogant. The company holds a 4.7-star Google rating from 25 ratings and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. **Strengths:** - A large retaining wall — a recent customer described a 65-foot stone wall - On-time, on-budget job — a recent customer said a month-long project finished on time - Clean job sites — customers in 2024 and 2026 described daily clean-up - A drainage fix — a 2024 customer said the water no longer pooled **Concerns:** - Owner's manner — a 2024 customer called the owner rude and arrogant - Project cost — a recent customer said the work was not inexpensive ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Built a 65-foot-long, 5-foot-tall stone retaining wall and a reclaimed brick patio at a Hampton Falls, NH property, a recent customer said _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2taU1l5MWpaWEpVZG1kVmVEQnpiRkJ0VFRCcmRHYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x7f0b8bfd7fda7baf!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkZSYy1jZXJUdmdVeDBzbFBtTTBrdGc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the workmanship of Green Monster Landscapes following its recent transformation of our 200-y…” - Stone wall and lakeside landscaping with sod, blueberry bushes and a stone pathway, per a recent customer _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tSRVZHaEdhWEZxVHpSbGRFMHdaM0oxV2xGVWRVRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x7f0b8bfd7fda7baf!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkREVGhGaXFqTzRldE0wZ3J1WlFUdUE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We recently hired Green Monster Landscapes in New Hampshire, to build a stone wall at lake property.
