## The honest read

Green Thumb Landscaping is a Trumbull landscaper run by owner Joe Mian, and the work people hire it for starts with choosing the plants. A recent customer says Joe showed examples of plants on the spot, explained whether each needed sun or shade, and that the company will deliver and plant if required.

A 2025 customer said their landscaping had become overgrown, so everything was removed and Joe put together a new design. A 2025 reviewer wrote that Joe provided a sketch of plants, trees and flowers for a house that had no landscaping, and returns throughout the year for trimming, fertilizing, weeding and adding mulch. A 2025 customer said Joe bought a Korean dogwood for the front yard, and that his team also handled edging a new garden, plant fertilization and mulching.

In a 2025 review, a customer said Joe and his crew completed planting beds to the front and side of the house, priced competitively, and completed the project on time. A 2025 customer wrote that Green Thumb had been doing their landscaping for over 10 years.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0530169, as active, held by Green Thumb Landscaping.

**Strengths:**
- Plant selection help — a recent customer says Joe explained sun and shade needs
- A design sketch — a 2025 customer said Joe provided one to visualize the plan
- An on-time planting job — a 2025 customer said beds were completed on time
