Gunderson Flooring and Design works out of Greenwich, and a June 2020 reviewer names Jay Gunderson. It holds 4.9 stars from 104 ratings on HomeAdvisor and on Angi, and 5 stars from 5 Google ratings. In a September 2024 Google review, a customer says the company refinished their floor and painted the kitchen and family room in a few days, started almost as soon as it evaluated the job, and fixed many defects beyond the scope of the job at no extra charge; that reviewer names Jay and Caesar. An April 2019 reviewer describes intricate stair work that went past floor refinishing into extra woodwork and painting. An August 2018 reviewer says floors, staircase and rails were done and walls painted, with the house left clean and almost dust free, apart from the closets. A 2009 Angi reviewer says the crew sanded and put three coats of varnish on 1,000 square feet in four days. Jay also replaced torn window screens in April 2023 and swapped two screens on the spot in June 2023; in a May 2024 review, a customer with a pet tearing the screens says he recommended and installed a pet-proof screen in back and a regular one at the front door. A January 2026 Angi reviewer says he found a fix for older door weather stripping. A June 2020 reviewer says Jay Gunderson left their deck looking brand new, and an October 2018 reviewer says he repaired and restained their mahogany deck. One September 2018 reviewer says the company cost more than their other quotes and was worth it.
