## The honest read

Haley's Metal Shop calls itself a fifth-generation family-owned metal shop, and its website claims 109 years in business, with work running from custom metal fabrication to industrial sheet metal. On its Better Business Bureau page, the company describes HVAC services that include heat pump, geothermal and central air installations.

A customer whose heat pumps the company installed in 2023 says a technician came out the same day they called during a heat wave to repair them, and calls that technician professional and quick. A 2025 customer said the company sent a technician named Ryan Smith and his team member to perform a check and cleaning under a furnace maintenance contract that also covers emergency service. In 2025, a customer wrote that Anthony and Jonathan installed a heat pump, explained everything and cleaned up afterward.

The company holds an A+ grade with the Better Business Bureau, and its Google profile shows 4.9 stars from 49 ratings. A 2025 reviewer complained that a company truck pulled out in front of them and then brake checked them while their 4-year-old was with them.

**Strengths:**
- Same-day heat pump repair — a customer said a technician came during a heat wave
- Furnace maintenance contract — a 2025 customer said it also covers emergency service
- Tidy heat pump install — a 2025 customer said Anthony and Jonathan cleaned up

**Concerns:**
- Company truck driving — a 2025 reviewer said a company truck brake checked them
