## The honest read

Håndlavet describes itself as a maker of custom, one-of-a-kind pieces, with a team of designers and builders that uses hand tools alongside computer aided design and machining. The company says it has been in business for 20 years.

A pointseast.com article describes Håndlavet as a company that creates furniture, custom woodworking and buildouts, and says the name translates to Hand Made in Danish. A page on owtvikingveteranssupport.com describes Håndlavet as the second firm of Leetes Island Boatworks of Guilford, Connecticut, with the same owners and principals.

**Strengths:**
- Custom woodworking — a pointseast.com article describes furniture and buildouts
